Great advice from the legend Wally Ollins.
“How do we, as designers, become more influential, operate over a wider span of activities and make more money? As a young man, Wally Olins, chairman of Saffron Brand Consultants, was impressed by hierarchy and precedence – and it was difficult to get to the top in business. But when he got there, he found he could talk straight to the people there. He told Designer Breakfast attendees that you must deal with people at the top; it’s no good dealing with the marketing manager.”
